Heartwarming Klein Karoo Hospitality in the Snow
Greeted by a wide smile and a very sincere welcome, this farmer interprets the value of life that this five-title giant presents. Starting on the deep escarpment in the south to the plains in the north the property truly provides amazing opportunities. Only 188 km from the Cape Town Airport, the property spans the last three thousand hectares of land in a climate where the jacket is preferred to the jersey, flora is diverse and sheep farming is popular. The topography drops by around 500 meters from the highest ridgeline to the most southern fence line with cold units of around 1500. More than six kilometers of border is game fenced with 2.4-meter fencing. Part of the land is a biodiverse sensitive area and overlooks some of the most amazing vistas one can want. The farm hosts eleven protea species of which a few species are harvested from February till December.
Infrastructure for the four legged consists of twelve camps ranging in size with a water point in each camp. Forty-seven hectares of arable land available for cultivation. Two equipped boreholes yield very good quality water and irrigate around 2 hectares of SA standard lucerne. Three earth dams of which one is almost part of “die postal”. Electricity is provided by two Eskom points, one 100 kVA and the other 35 kVA. The farm can sustain around four hundred sheep.
The homestead consists of a four bedroom two and a halve bathroom main house with an adjacent camp kitchen, barn and braai area. Nineteen wooden Wendy houses can sleep around 220 persons. Two guest cottages with a third one under construction.
Data reception from service provider is available with electricity backup by generator.
