Sole Mandate – At the feet of the Langeberg Mountain range, within eighteen kilometers from Montagu town, lies this 71-hectare farm that provides the perfect farming opportunity. The farm stores water in two major earth dams with a registered volume of 53 000 cubic in total. The main dam is filled by river catchment with annual source volume of 270 000 cubic per year. Thirty-Eight hectares of arable land is serviced by mainlines of which twenty-three hectares is currently planted with permanent crops that include apricots, peaches and a small area of pears. Cash crops is done with success on fourteen hectares of arable open land, irrigation all in place and can be continued with. Two Transformer points on the farm provides electricity to four installed boreholes with a total yield of 45 000 liters/hour. An additional borehole is available for installation.
